Transfer to your hotel before setting out to explore Santiago on a guided sightseeing tour. • Drive through the city’s Barrio Bellavista, known for its bohemian charm • Set out on a short walk through Santiago’s Central Market and peruse the stalls • Pass the Barrio Lastarria and the Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts • Walk up Santa Lucía Hill to soak in incredible views from the spot where Santiago was founded in 1541 • Head to Plaza de Armas where you’ll see Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral, the Chilean National History Museum, and the Central Post Office Building This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your Tour Director and fellow travelers.

Punta Arenas / 1 NIGHT

Jan 08: Flight to Punta Arenas

Travel to the airport this morning and fly to Punta Arenas in southern Patagonia. Then, set off on a guided tour alongside your Tour Director.   • Visit Mirador Cerre de la Cruz to soak in beautiful views of the city • Enter the Salesian Museum, which highlights Patagonian history, tribes, flora, fauna, and more • Step inside the Palacio Sara Braun to see the home's beautiful European-style architecture and design • Walk around Plaza de Armas, the city’s main square Please note: The order of the Punta Arenas sightseeing tour on day 4 and the Isla Magdalena Penguin Colony optional excursion on day 5 may change depending on the flight schedule.

Torres del Paine Region / 2 NIGHTS

This afternoon, transfer to the coastal city of Puerto Natales in the Torres del Paine region, stopping at a Patagonian estancia, or ranch, along the way.  • Learn about work and life on the ranch while watching a sheep-shearing demonstration  • Enjoy a barbecue lunch of regional specialties

Jan 10: Torres del Paine National Park via Milodon Cave

Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Make your way to Torres del Paine National Park, one of the largest of its kind in Chile. En route, stop to enter Milodon Cave to view its wealth of prehistoric fossils. Then, set out to explore the park's many natural wonders. • View the towering peaks of Los Cuernos del Paine, for which the park was named  • Stand on the banks of Lago Pehoé, Lago Nordenskjöld, and Lago Grey, three of the park’s glittering glacial lakes • Take a short hike to see the churning Salto Grande waterfall  • Try to spot guanacos, foxes, rheas, and birds as you go

El Calafate / 2 NIGHTS

Cross the border into Argentina as you make your way to El Calafate. Later, enjoy a free evening. Please note: You'll depart for Argentina early in the morning.

Jan 12: Los Glaciares National Park

Make your way to Los Glaciares National Park today for a close-up look at the growing Perito Moreno Glacier. • En route to the park, stop at Lago Argentino to take in the surrounding mountain views, keeping an eye out for the flamingos and condors that call the lake their home (seasonal)  • Once in Los Glaciares, embark on a cruise along the Perito Moreno Glacier face • Take in views of the glacier from a scenic overlook and enjoy free time to explore the surrounding walking paths

Buenos Aires / 3 NIGHTS

Board your flight to Buenos Aires this morning. Then, spend a free afternoon and evening in the city or add an excursion.

Jan 14: Sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires

Embark on a guided tour of the city where tango was born. • Drive through the aristocratic Retiro and Recoleta neighborhoods to visit the grave of Eva Perón, the former First Lady of Argentina • Make your way past the National Museum of Fine Arts and the beautiful parks and gardens of Palermo • Drive along 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest street in the world • Explore Plaza de Mayo, site of the May Revolution in 1810, and enter the neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral • Enjoy free time in the La Boca neighborhood, where the influence of its Italian settlers can still be felt today Later this evening, join your group at a farewell dinner.

On today’s guided tour, you’ll uncover the UNESCO-recognized lost city of Machu Picchu, one of the most spectacular archaeological sites on the entire South American continent.  • Tour the ruins of the ceremonial center, cultivation terraces, and guard house • Visit Funeral Rock, the Main Temple, Temple of the Three Windows, Chamber of Ornaments, Sacred Plaza, Intihuatana Stone, Temple of the Sun, the Rock Quarry, Ritual Fountains, and Condor Temple Afterward, take a scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley to Cuzco.
